3Plus Flash Review:

The Best Loyalty Program out there

Picture
Published 29/08/2017
Everyone loves to be rewarded in some shape or form. That's why we've seen mobile networks such as 3 and Vodafone launch services which offer customers rewards for sticking with their network. These loyalty programs benefit both the network itself and the customer. The programs help to boost customer satisfaction rates and therefore make it less likely for a customer to abandon their network.

These reward programs allow networks to differentiate themselves from each other and increase customer loyalty. Rewards can be redeemed via a mobile app or website and often include discounts at select stores or free mobile accessories such as speakers or cases.

3's Loyalty Program beats Vodafone's in every way

3's loyalty program, 3Plus, stands in stark contrast to the one offered by Vodafone. 3's program benefits all of its customers, whether their pay as you go or bill pay and doesn't distribute rewards based on points or the amount of money you have spent on your mobile bill. Vodafone's Cherry Points system requires customers to gather points to redeem for rewards by topping up frequently. This system is inferior to 3's in every way because it is more complicated and offers fewer rewards. The Cherry Point system feels like an effort by Vodafone to get its customers to top up or pay more.

3Plus has gotten so good that I'd now say it's an integral part of being a 3 customer. Customers on other mobile networks should be jealous of the service. It's a huge benefit to 3 customers, whether you use the service rarely or frequently.

3Plus is simple in a good way. It just works. After using the service for over a year I've yet to experience an issue or hiccup. The 3Plus app is available to download via the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. The 3Plus app is user-friendly thanks to its intuitive design. Anyone could pick up a phone and use this app with ease, something that I can't say about most mobile apps. Its modern and colourful theme screams attention to detail. The app is quick and perfect for usage in short bursts. It's also updated frequently with new offers.

What good is a rewards program if its rewards aren't great? Thankfully 3 has managed to partner with various different companies to deliver some great discounts to 3 customers. I've had the opportunity to use these discounts dozens of times and the great feeling of saving money never gets old. 3Plus also offers customers a chance to participate in competitions, similar to Vodafone's 'Fantastic Friday' competitions.

Customers can avail of discounts at Odeon Cinemas, Intersport Elverys, Easons, McCabes Pharmacy, Topaz, and McDonald's. These discounts range from savings of 14% to 20% and can be redeemed in-store or online. 3 also offers 3Plus breaks which allow customers to stay at hotels at discounted prices.

3Plus is brilliant for music fans and concert goers because allows customers to book tickets 48 hours ahead in the 3Arena. The competition includes the chance to win tickets to the 3Arena or to win a €250 holiday voucher. Put simply, there are rewards for everyone with 3Plus regardless of whether you're a sports or music fan or if you love shopping.

To sweeten the deal further, all of the discounts that come with 3Plus can be used as much as you want, so even after using a discount, you can use it again.

Conclusion: 3Plus has set the industry standard

Whether you like 3 or not, its 3Plus loyalty program is the best in the business. It adds more value to already excellent plans and benefits all of 3's customers no matter what plan they are on. The service is easy to use thanks to its intuitive design and it offers discounts and rewards that are found nowhere else. 3Plus has set the industry standard for delivering a state of the art loyalty program that continues to improve with time. Customers of other networks such as Eir or Vodafone should be jealous. It's just another perk of being a 3 customer.
