RMS Titanic

The Titanic was made in Harland and Wolff Belfast. It was made by a company called White Star Line. It had 4 chimneys but 1 of them was fake. RMS stands for Royal Mail Ship. The titanic had 3 propellers the outside 2 had 3 blades the middle one had 4 blades.
  
The Titanic carried 2,201 people 705 people lived. The Titanic  had 16 lifeboats that could hold 70 men. But when Titanic was sinking they filled some lifeboats with only 12 people. The titanic had 16 compartments all water tight. Bulkheads are like a tall wall that goes half way up the ship water tight. Bulkheads made people think that Titanic was unsinkable.

It took 2 and a half hours for the Titanic to sink. The Titanic was the biggest ship at that time. One of her sister ships was called the Olympic. When the titanic hit the iceberg it hit her starboard side. When Titanic hit the iceberg it was going around 21 knots which is about 25km an hour. When Titanic hit the ocean floor it was going about 30 knots. The captain of the Titanic was called Edward Smith the man who made the titanic was called Mr. Andrews.
