Design
The iPod Touch 6th generation is crafted using high quality anodized aluminum. It feels great and is comfortable to hold. Its just 6.1mm thin and weighs only 88 grams. The new iPod comes in five colours consisting of a navy blue, hot pink, space grey, silver and gold. It also has a special product Red colour that is gorgeous. It has chamfered edges to the Retina display. The only problem with having such a thin device is that the camera protrudes but that isn't too bad considering the camera lens is protected with sapphire crystal. Altogether the iPod Touch 6th generation is one of the best designed products out there.

The iPod Touch 6th generation has a 4'' Retina display that has a resolution of 1136 x 640 and a pixel density of 326ppi. The display is bright and vivid. Colours are accurate and the size makes it good for one handed use. The size isn't the best for those who want to watch movies or read books. Altogether the Retina display is nothing special but does the job.

Performance
The new iPod comes packed with an A8 chip that's clocked at 1.1 GHz and is 64 bit. It comes with 1GB of RAM and even packs a M8 motion co-processor that handles fitness data. The new chips make the iPod great for gaming, fitness tracking and more. The device runs very smooth on iOS 8.4 and loading times are great. The new chips are also more power efficient allowing you to do more for longer. Altogether the new iPod is very fast and can keep up to the competition easily.

Camera
The new iPod comes packed with an 8MP camera main shooter and a 1.2MP selfie camera. The main camera is capable of taking crisp clear 1080p video at 60fps that looks good. It can also shoot slow motion video at 120fps. Photos from the main camera are bright and vivid but are not colour accurate. In low light the LED flash does a bad job of creating light. The selfie camera is good and now it can take burst photos. Altogether both cameras are good but not brilliant.

The new iPod comes shipped with iOS 8.4. The software experience is great with very fluid animations and its also very reliable. It may not be the most customizable software but its very fast and looks great. The App Store offers millions of great apps at your finger tips and now with Apple Music you are not stuck for entertainment. Apple Music runs great on the new iPod and takes full advantage of the great speaker. Altogether the software experience is fast, reliable and fresh.

Battery and Speaker
The new iPod manages to house a 1,043 mAh battery in such a thin body. The battery drains very fast while gaming and usually only lasts a day. Stand-by time is wonderful. The new iPod also charges extremely fast through the Lightning cable. The bottom-mounted speaker is great for audio. Sound is clear and loud. It lacks base but does the job. Altogether the new iPod has an average battery that charges very fast and has good speakers that produce clear audio.

At the end of the day, the new iPod is very good and gives you a lot for the price. Its designed brilliantly. Its very fast. It has fast and reliable software and good speakers. The battery is only average and the camera isn't that good. The iPod Touch 6th generation is great for someone who wants a phone without the phone. Its a worthy upgrade from the previous version that was launched in 2012.
